My sculpture partner Fred Lunger and I won a public art commission for Alameda Square in the City of Denver. Fred came up with the initial design, which is ten bronze Canada Geese "landing on" a retention pond. We tweaked the design as the project progressed to meet some challenging logistic challenges; such as keeping the artwork out of reach of vandals. Here are some photos of the process, installation and final piece.
I've been posting some live caricature work on this blog periodically, but now I will be posting to my Company's Facebook page instead: www.facebook.com/lolcaricature.
I own and operate a retail caricature location on 16th St. Mall in Denver. *LoL* Caricature Company opened June of 2011 and employs only the most talented caricature artists around, bringing the funny to the street. We are open May-October; hours and info are on the website, www.lolcaricature.com.
I love to make things. I especially revel in sculpture; there are so many levels of bringing it life. I find it both meditative and challenging.
I'm currently a freelancer, but am always looking for a new, exciting opportunity.
