Prairie Engine maquette

My sculpting partner Fred Lunger and I were 1 of 3 finalists out of over 200 with a sculpture proposal we submitted for the new Adams County Government Center These are photos of the maquette, one of which is superimposed onto the site to show scale and relationship. It was proposed to be 24' in height, made of steel, wood, concrete and bronze. The walkway beneath was designed as an abstracted map of the county, and the windmill blades depict a train in bronze bas-relief, chugging along them with a bit of wind.
